Very spectacular and relatively unknown, the Christian Dior museum, located in Granville, not far from the Mont St Michel, is the only « museum of France » entirely devoted to a fashion designer and to his creations. You will discover there the villa Les Rhumbs, house which saw the famous French fashion designer grow up, which stands on the cliff, facing the Channel Islands in the middle of an exceptional garden.

Discover the Impressionist Normandy!
The museum presents a large collection of pre-impressionist and contemporary paintings by Normandy painters who have stayed in Honfleur, such as Courbet, Dubourg, Jongkind, Monet, Dufy, Friesz, Gernez, Hamburg, Herbo … and especially Eugène Boudin, the « father of Impressionism », born in Honfleur, who put the quest for light at the heart of his painting. Famous beach scenes or Salon works, evoking the atmosphere of meetings at Auberge Saint-Siméon, lead visitors to explore the different facets of Boudin’s art.

Romantic theater open on the English Channel where man is in direct contact with nature, the singular form of the cliffs of Etretat has inspired the most illustrious artists. Also to be discovered, the Neo-Futurist-style Gardens of Etretat which are part of a set of topiary volumes where the wild beauty of the landscape, contemporary art and architecture dialogue in all poetry. The castle of Falaise, exceptional fortified castle formed by three dungeons and a rampart flanked by fifteen towers dominates the city. Only an hour from Hotel Outre-Mer, the Anglo-Norman domain is classified as a historic monument. You will discover the stronghold built by the first dukes of Normandy, reinforced by the descendants of Guillaume the Conqueror and completed by the king of France, Philippe II Auguste.

Over nearly 70 meters long, immerse yourself in the embroidered tale of the conquest of England in the year 1066 by Guillaume, Duke of Normandy, known as Guillaume the Conqueror who became king of England at the end of the Battle of Hastings. Visiting the museum allows you to discover the Bayeux Tapestry, classified as a Unesco world memory, to approach it without damaging it and to understand its history and its creation.

A real open-air museum, the historic space of the Battle of Normandy during the Second World War gathers all the sites (the Pointe du Hoc, the Longues-sur-Mer battery, the artificial harbor Winston Chrurchill …), museums and places of memory that deal with D-Day and the ensuing offensive.
